"Schumpeter’s theory started with the idea that the entrepreneur, some one outside the conventional economy, would create something and then, step by step, that innovation would enter the market as a new distinct product or service. The idea of innovation to Schumpeter was closely linked to the one of “creative destruction”, which means that the new inventions would turn the old ones inappropriate and without economic value."
