«Dear colleagues and friends,
We would like to invite you to submit an abstract for a paper presentation at the IVth World Conference of the Spatial Econometrics Association.
The conference will take place in the Courtyard Magnificent Mile Downtown Chicago hotel in Chicago, Illinois from June 9-12, 2010.
We have managed to negotiate an attractive room rate for downtown Chicago and the registration fee for Ph.D. students has been considerably reduced. More information is available from the conference website at:
http://www.agecon.purdue.edu/sea_2010.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is April 5, 2010. The total number of presentations is maximized at 150, and decisions about the acceptance of abstracts will be sent out on April 19.
Important highlights of the conference are: keynote speeches, a graduate student paper competition, and sessions on teaching spatial econometrics and the use of software for spatial statistical data analysis. Opportunities for publication of papers are available through a special journal issue which, after peer review, will comprise a selection of the best papers presented at the conference. The conference brochure is attached to this e-mail.
We are hoping to see you in Chicago in June!
Best regards,
Raymond Florax
Chair of the Local Organizing Committee
