"This paper aims to (1) assess residents’ perceptions of the tourism attributes and potential of their municipality; (2) assess tourism’s potential to contribute to the development of the territory under analysis, by enhancing (or recovering) its multi-functionality; (3) identify the main perceived positive and negative impacts of tourism; and (4) contribute to implementation of a more participative and sustainable tourism strategy in the municipality of Boticas and neighbouring areas."
