CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Dear José Cadima Ribeiro,
successful international sister conference series of International Forum on Knowledge Asset Dynamics (IFKAD) and Knowledge Cities World Summit (KCWS) decided, for the first time, to bring their energies and communities together and with this strengthened synergy to host their 2012 editions in a joint multi-disciplinary conference setting.
This is the announcement and Call for Abstracs for the joint conference of the IFKAD-KCWS 2012 on the theme of Knowledge, Sustainability and Management Innovations: Integrating Micro and Macro Perspectives, which will be held in Matera (Italy) during the days of 13-15 June 2012.

THEMES AND TOPICS:
The IFKAD-KCWS 2012 joint conference aims to integrate two distinctive but at the same time highly overlapping perspectives – micro and macro – on knowledge-based development at the firm, organisation and city levels. This international conference encourages discussions on three critical dimensions of the development of 21st century – knowledge, innovation and sustainability. The primary focus of the conference is academic and practitioner presentations and exchange of ideas. Theoretical, empirical and practitioner papers are invited addressing research topics which focus on the role of knowledge assets and knowledge-based development in firm, organisation and city value creation, planning, development and management from different perspectives.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:
The submission of the abstract should be done by using this electronic upload procedure of our website. All papers will undergo a double blind review process and all accepted papers will be included in the Conference proceedings. We kindly invite you to follow the authors' guidelines published on our website for structuring your abstract/paper.

PUBLICATION PLAN:
All accepted papers will be included in the Forum Proceedings with ISBN number. The proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in the Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index database.
Following the Conference, authors of the selected high quality papers will be invited to submit their papers for inclusion in Special Issues of following high-impact international academic journals:
